Annual conference and training day
A full day of speaker sessions with a sponsor gallery room, a plated lunch, raffles, and trivia, plus a hands-on training day led by TeachMeGIS.
Real projects from local practitioners
Presentations and lightning talks cover work across the region, from utility asset management to flood-prone roads.
A scholarship for geospatial students
AAGIS supports students working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in geospatial science.
Connections across the field

Thank you for joining us at the 2026 conference

More than 140 people joined us at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Antonio Airport, from longtime members to first-timers. The complete program, with every speaker’s bio and abstract, is still online.

Training Day, September 2319 trainees took two all-day TeachMeGIS classes: Attribute Rules in ArcGIS Pro (sold out) and Custom Forms with Survey123.
Conference Day, September 2413 speakers, a keynote from TxGIO, and 10 sponsor booths, with raffles throughout the day.
Our first Trivia “Mappy” HourTrivia and the networking reception became one event. The winning team was Vector Wembanyama.
Scholarship awardCongratulations to Avery Johnson, a GIS graduate student at Texas State University. Conference profits fund future awards.
