AAGIS is shaking things up in 2023, and we are moving the location of our conference! We enjoyed our long relationship with the Hilton Hill Country location near Sea World, but we received helpful feedback from our attendees that our previous location was a little far. We worked to find an option that was centrally located. Come out this year and give our new venue a shot near the airport at the DoubleTree by Hilton!
Another new thing to look for this year is that the training courses will be two simultaneous full-day courses! Pick your favorite and earn eight hours of learning versus the four hours!
The 2023 Alamo Area GIS Scholarship application is open! Applications are due September 8th and applicants must be enrolled in a course of study in the field of geospatial sciences for the Fall 2023 semester. Please share with any applicable students you may know! Get details HERE!

Conference schedule is as follows:
Day 1 (September 20) will consist of two concurrent training courses with a delicious mid-day lunch included. The two full-day courses offered this year are Field Data Collection with ArcGIS Field Maps and ArcGIS Experience Builder Workshop. Come learn something new or brush up on something you’ve already used in your organization!
Day 2 (September 21) will be your usual conference day experience with a welcome session at 9:30 am and user/technical presentations beginning at 10:00 am and ending at 3:45 pm. Eight presentations will be offered in two separate tracks. A plated lunch, snacks, and coffee, will be provided throughout the day. At 4:15 pm, join us for a panel where GIS Managers from around the City and surrounding area will discuss the state of GIS in San Antonio and answer your questions about the future of GIS in our community. At 5:00 pm, we will all gather in the hotel restaurant for a networking event with appetizers, drinks, and live entertainment! At registration, your name will be entered into a door prize drawing to win gifts offered by participating sponsors!
